La mia città preferita in assoluto è Londra. Non so bene quando sia scoppiata questa passione: la prima volta che la vidi, a quattordici anni, non restai per nulla colpita. Ma come tutte le storie d'amore destinate a durare una vita, è il tempo che ti fa apprezzare appieno le qualità dell'altra persona: e così negli anni, senza neanche averla frequentata più di tanto, è diventata infine la mia meta preferita, quella del fine settimana obbligatorio una volta l'anno, ogni volta visitando luoghi diversi, ed ogni volta tornando in quelli preferiti.

Si potrebbe dire che il destino, a quattordici anni, ci avesse già messo il suo sigillo: i miei genitori, in tempi non sospetti e pur non capendo una parola di inglese, avevano comprato tre biglietti per "Cats". Quasi quindici anni dopo, potermi ricordare un musical che ha fatto la storia del teatro ovviamente mi emoziona. 

Perchè ovviamente, di tutte le sue beltà, non mi sfugge che Londra è una patria di teatri, of course. Ma c'è qualcos'altro per cui l'Inghilterra è famosa: il tè. Per me, non c'è posto migliore per acquistarlo delle stupende boutique Tea Palace, e del loro ottimo shop online.

London is my favorite place in the world. I don't know exactly when I fall in love with this city: I came there for the first time at 14, and I wasn't so much impressed. But, the best love stories ever, are the ones that grow in time: now I visit London at least once every year, going to discover new places and coming back to my favorites every time.

I think it was a little bit of destiny, between me and London: at 14, my parents, that didn't speak English at all, choose to buy three tickets for "Cats", so I can remember one of the most important show of the contemporary theatre for watching it live.

Of course London is the city of theatre, and I love it. But this city is famous for another thing I like: tea. My favorite shop is Tea Palace, with his nice purple boutiques, but you can easily shop online too.

Tea Palace è un moderno "emporio del tè", che offre la più ampia gamma possibile degli infusi del Regno Unito, trasmettendo tutta la passione per quello che noi definiamo sempre come "il tè delle cinque". In realtà i prodotti in vendita da Tea Palace coprono qualsiasi momento del giorno, con infusi e miscele dedicate alla colazione, al pomeriggio, e anche al momento di addormentarsi.

Nella mia ossessione per il Natale, che mi vede canticchiare "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" più o meno da metà settembre, qualche tempo fa ho deciso di fare un ordine online per rimpinguare la mia scorta di tè e preparare qualche regalino.

I miei blend favoriti sono "Sweet Dreams", letteralmente Sogni d'oro, un misto di camomilla, valeriana e lavanda perfetto col miele per conciliare il sonno, e "Notting Hill", un tè nero che omaggia il quartiere che ha ospitato il primo shop Tea Palace, aromatizzato con vaniglia e calendula. In quest'ultimo ordine ho provato anche una fantastica varietà di Jasmine con inserto di rose, "Eve's blend", che sostiene un progetto benefico contro il cancro.

Per amici e parenti mi sono invece concentrata sui blend dedicati al Natale, "Winter whispers" (Soffio d'inverno) e "Palace Christmas", ricchi di spezie e di fragranze che ti fanno sentire già sotto l'albero (brivido di compiacimento e istantanea visualizzazione di pacchetti, neve, torroni e tanto amore).

My favorite Tea Palace blends are "Sweet Dreams", with chamomile, valerian and lavender, perfect with honey to help you sleep, and "Notting Hill", created to celebrate the first shop of Tea Palace, a black tea with vanilla and marigold petals. I also tried "Eve's blend", a Jasmine and rose tea, that support cancer research.
For the Christmas presents, I preferred the festive blends "Winter whispers" and "Christmas Palace", with typical flavor of the season, as cinnamon, that make me feel already near Christmas tree, (dreaming of snow, presents, nougat, chocolate and all you need is love).

Il servizio offerto è impeccabile: tè ed infusi sono disponibili in ogni misura, e in ogni tipo di confezione, dal pacchetto regalo nella borsetta di satin, ai barattoli più piccoli adatti a pensierini o a provare un nuovo blend che ancora non conoscete. Il mio ordine eccedeva il peso massimo e il servizio clienti mi ha contattata via email rapidissimamente per risolvere il problema: gentilezza e professionalità assolutamente da apprezzare.

Inviato infine il pacco, è arrivato addirittura in anticipo sui tempi previsti, per l'Italia dai 5 ai 7 giorni, in una confezione molto accurata che aveva fatto sì che anche i pacchetti degli infusori non subissero la minima acciaccatura.
